This is based on a set of algorithms that are used to determine the sunrise, sunset, solar noon and twilight times (civil, nautical, and astronomical). These are being used for automated light times, as well as personal interest. The software so far is just a tray item. This shows the next two events, as well as shows popup messages whenever an event occurs. It also calculates the current position of the sun based on the time and day.

The next two things that will be implemented is a moon phase, position, rise and set times. The other is the relative planetary positions.

After these have been implemented, I plan to use the calculations to create an application for Windows Phone 7 and a windows gadget.
